After several renounced attempts to contact Slomba, Yavin ended the band on the premise of an evident lack of motivation by the group. Being the only active member during the final stages, Yavin deliberated with Mari Smith, a collaborator with whom he had worked before, and requested her to sing on a song he wrote and recorded within a day specifically for the band's last single. The song was released on the same day the vocal track was recorded, as soon as Smith submitted her recording to Yavin. A lyric video accompanied the release, following on from the band's debut music video. This is officially Frozen Coco's last release.
During a period of post-album inactivity from the other band members, Yavin and Slomba recorded and released 'Liars and Thieves'. This is the first and only single to be written by Slomba. However, the decision to release this song as a single was made upon the insistence of Núñez, shortly before his period of inaction. A music video accompanied a Frozen Coco release for the first time, with the band yet again revolutionising another aspect of online music creation.
Frozen Coco released their debut full-length album on the band's two year anniversary, on 23/06/2013. The album release signified the band's peak as an all-male rock quartet, containing some of the most instantly recognisable melodies from the group's catalogue. This record is complete with ripping guitar solos and a featured artist who sings on two previously released singles. The album has been widely hailed as setting a new hallmark for online musicianship.
Ellipsis is a song about losing someone dear; the title captures the pensive mood of the narrator as he is left in a state of solitude. Yavin reprises the role of vocals as is with his other songs and handles the rhythm and lead guitars, while Núñez does bass and Slomba is on drums.
Released 12.12.12, this second double single release features just two of the band members, Yavin and Núñez. Yet this recording duo brings out the same vibrant energy as a full Frozen Coco line-up. The songs can be streamed on the same sites as their previous releases.
These two singles were released in traditional vinyl record fashion, an idea thought up by Diyath Yavin. The former is similar in style to Frozen Coco's EP, 'Crimson Love' whereas the latter has a fresh, new acoustic sound. The band has never released a song accompanied only by guitar before. This release is available now on Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
'Crimson Love', Frozen Coco's first EP, was released on 27/04/2012. It includes a set of five songs, of which 'My Voice to You' and 'When I'm Beside You' were remastered to give it a more professional outcome. The songs can be listened to under the 'Music' tab of this site or viewed on Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
Frozen Coco released 'When I'm Beside You', on 24/12/2011, on Christmas Eve. Shortly before the release, the band were in threat of disbanding due to poor management, until restored with new additions to the line-up. The song is Frozen Coco's second single and can be streamed on Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
